You could still do the same today ;) 

But we think it would go perfectly well with white sneakers and a quirky tote for a casual look. 

Or platform sandals or strappy gladiator sandals for a more era-accurate take ;) Add a tasselled bucket bag and floppy suede hat and you're not that far off, considering the 60s/70s are featuring in recent fashion trends.
